REAL ESTATE & IP
The conveyancing team attends to all transactions requiring registration at the Deeds Office, such as the registration and transfer of immovable property, the registration of mortgage bonds, notarial bonds over movable property, and the registration of other real rights in immovable property, such as servitudes. The conveyancers also attend to the drafting, execution and registration of other notarial deeds including changes of name and deeds of trust. The department also provides advice regarding share transfers involving immovable properties, property development, sub-divisions, change in land use and related aspects. The registration of patents and trademarks at the Trade Marks and Patents Office is also done by this department including general advice on such matters.

LITIGATION
This department essentially attends to the representation of clients in court such as the High Court and Supreme Court and Magistrates’ Courts and other special courts that include the Labour Court and Administrative Court. The firm has a small portfolio of criminal matters that it handles.

This section of the firm deals with impact human rights litigation, research and consultancy. The team has extensive experience of dealing with human rights issues in Zimbabwe, the region and at the international level.

GENERAL PRACTICE
Our Litigation; Conveyancing and Commercial and Corporate Departments deal with other matters of a general nature, including the drafting of commercial and other agreements, wills, administration of estates, company registration and matters relating to mining and agriculture. Employment disputes, matrimonial and family matters, as well as insurance claims arising as the result of motor vehicle accidents also comprise a part of this practice. Our criminal law practice is limited, and in cases of need, such cases are referred to experienced counsel at the Bar.
