The conveyancing team attends to all transactions requiring registration at the Deeds Office, such as the registration and transfer of immovable property, the registration of mortgage bonds, notarial bonds over movable property, and the registration of other real rights in immovable property, such as servitudes. The conveyancers also attend to the drafting, execution and registration of other notarial deeds including changes of name and deeds of trust. The department also provides advice regarding share transfers involving immovable properties, property development, sub-divisions, change in land use and related aspects. The registration of patents and trademarks at the Trade Marks and Patents Office is also done by this department including general advice on such matters.
